GOT A QUESTION?

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Whether you're wondering whether I offer traditional massage (spoiler: no), what this RAPID treatment is anyway (find out more here) or whether you just don't know what to wear, I answer some of the questions I get asked most often here.

If you have a question that I've not answered, or simply want to know more, please get in touch with me today!

QUESTIONS ABOUT RAPID NFR

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is the innovative, science based, manual therapy technique that I use to help people in pain and struggling with injury. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I choose to use RAPID over "traditional" massage because of the outstanding results I've seen from its use, results that I have not seen with traditional massage techniques.

You can find out more about RAPID by clicking here. Below are some of the questions I get asked the most:

What exactly is RAPID NeuroFascial Reset?
RAPID NeuroFasical Reset is a specialised treatment focused on dealing with pain and helping you move freely again, even after a long ago injury. Rather than a "passive" therapy, where you lie down and the therapist pokes, pushes, prods and pummels, in a RAPID session you'll be guided into specific movements while I treat you. With RAPID, it's all about encouraging your body to feel safe and move without pain again.

Does RAPID hurt?
RAPID-NFR is focused on effectiveness rather than comfort or relaxation. While the treatment isn't typically painful, you may experience some temporary discomfort as we help your body regain its normal movement. Although clients leave feeling much more mobile, some stiffness, soreness or discomfort over the 24 - 48 hours after treatment is common, and alleviated with gentle movement and  heat applied to the area if appropriate. This soreness is actually part of the healing process, and is a good thing!

How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you need will vary on your condition and how your body responds to treatment. Some clients only need one session while others may need three or more. My goal is to treat your condition or injury as quickly and as efficiently as possible, without expensive, unnecessary appointments or long winded, inflexible treatment plans.

What should I wear to my appointment?
RAPID Is a fully clothed treatment - I apply pressure or manipulate areas of your body through your clothing. I advise wearing comfortable, athletic wear or similar when coming to see me for treatment - depending on treatment you may be moving your arms, legs or body through significant ranges of motion, so please bear this in mind when selecting your outfit!

Other questions I'm regularly asked are answered below:

How do I book an appointment?
Booking an appointment is quick and easy with my online booking system.
Simply click here to use my secure Jane booking page

How long are appointments?
My treatment sessions are focused and efficient - pain has taken up enough of your life! Your first session will generally last around 45 minutes, with follow up sessions ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on why you're coming to see me. You can find out more about appointment lengths here.

Do you offer direct billing to insurance?
I operate as a self-pay practice. I'll provide receipts that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, although I cannot comment on whether particular policies will provide coverage for your condition. Please check with your insurance provider before coming to see me if you have any concerns.

What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash, debit card or credit card payments

What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your appointment with less than 12 hours notice, or don't show up at all, I'll have to charge you the full cost of your missed appointment, which must be paid before booking your next appointment.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

How do I prepare for my first appointment
Arrive five to ten minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.
Wear comfortable clothing
Bring a list of any medications you're currently taking

Have your payment method ready

Will I be sore after treatment?
Some clients experience temporary muscle soreness for 24 - 48 hours after treatment, similar to what you might feel after a workout. This is a normal response and can be soothed with gentle movement or application of heat in most instances. I'll provide personalised guidance on post-treatment care at your appointment.

Can I continue with my regular activities after treatment?
For most clients, this is a resounding yes! If I believe this to be different for you, I'll advise you at your appointment. Please be aware that some degree of stiffness or soreness 24 - 48 hours after your appointment is completely common and to be expected. This can be eased with gentle movement (complete rest will make it worse!) and application of heat if suitable.

What makes you different from other practitioners or other RAPID therapists
As a RAPID NeuroFascial Reset Specialist Trainer, I bring advanced expertise and a deep understanding of how your body works, how it's affected by injury both physically and neurologically, and the best ways to help you regain movement. I focus on delivering targeted, effective treatments that address the root cause of your pain rather than just temporary symptom relief. My approach is results-orientated, and I work efficiently to help you active lasting improvements.

CLIENT TESTIMONAL

She did it again. I reached out as I was suffering beyond and blaming it on a surgery I had. As this wonder woman assessed the situation she made a few tweaks (my back sounded like Rice Crispies when you pour milk on them) and then one big pop and instant relief! Don't suffer people...get out for rapid treatment, you won't regret it.
